Welcome back everyone!

We are so excited to see you and provide some awesome technical sessions this year!

Also, thank you to everyone for attending our annual golf tournament! We really enjoyed Tapawingo and plan tom host there next year.

Position: Water Reuse Project Manager, ASSE CP
Company: Rainwater Management Solutions, Inc. (RMS) 

Presenter Bio:
With a background in ecology and sustainability, Gordon Plocher has more than seven years of experience in the rainwater harvesting industry and serves as a designer and project manager for the Northeast, New England, and Midwest regions. Gordon has been a featured speaker at ASPE events in Boston, New York City, and Chicago and has delivered rainwater harvesting presentations to many of the largest engineering firms throughout the Northeast and New England. His expertise includes water reuse systems, sustainable design, and the implementation of rainwater harvesting solutions for a variety of applications. 

CEU Topic:
Rainwater Harvesting Systems 

Course Description:
This informative one-hour course explores the fundamentals of rainwater harvesting systems and their role in sustainable water management. Participants will learn about stormwater runoff challenges, the environmental and economic benefits of rainwater harvesting, and the process of evaluating project feasibility. The course will also review common applications, system components, and design considerations for rainwater and stormwater collection, storage, and reuse systems, providing attendees with practical knowledge that can be applied to a wide range of building projects.

Last Month's General Meeting Minutes

MAY GENERAL MEETING

May 5, 2026 

President Mitch Spillman welcomed everyone to LAST meeting of the 2025-2026 ASPE and thanked everyone for attending.

He then asked if there were any new members present, and Dylan Mills with Case Engineering acknowledged that he was one as well as a first time attendee.  There were no transfer members present.

 

He then asked for self-introductions.  As the introductions were being made, he had people start going through the buffet line.

 

President’s Report

Mitch Spillman had the following to report –

·         The 2026 ASPE Convention will be in Oklahoma City from October 8^th-14^th

·         8 members are celebrating birthdays this month

·         7 members have membership anniversaries this month

·         As a reminder, please make sure you sign-in and print your name legible, marking if you need a CEU, PEU or PDH; if you are visitor or non-member, please list your email address; for St. Louis County credit, include your license number

·         The minutes are no longer read at the meetings to allow additional time for our speakers; they are listed on the website and in the newsletter before the meetings

 

MOTION:  To approve the April General Meeting Minutes.            APPROVED.

 

Vice-President Legislative’s Report

Jack Fischer was unable to attend today's meeting.

 

Vice-President Membership’s Report

JJ Nagel had the following to report –

·         Thank you to everyone for RSVP’g for today’s meeting

·         Currently at 137 members, which is down slightly

 

Treasurer’s Report

David Notheis had the following to report –

·         Chapter is financially sound

·         Thank you to our current sponsors; all old sponsor information is down, time to pay up

Crystal Kramer had the following to report –

·         Get signed up for a sponsorship package so your information is in the newsletter

Alex Howard was not able to attend today’s meeting.

·         We do have the Chapter’s 50^th Anniversary Celebration on September 11^th at 4-Hands in Chesterfield Valley

·         ASPE CEU’s (ONLY THESE) – you will no longer have to submit these to ASPE, it will happen automatically

·         She introduced today’s speaker, Aaron Siegel, Business Development Director at Stiebel Eltron

§  After the presentation, she gave him one of our Arch Awards
