Short Description: Backflow prevention and pressure control are critical to every plumbing system. Whether you are designing a fire protection system or residential irrigation systems, it is important to understand which backflow prevention assemblies are needed for each application and how to best handle pressure reduction for optimal water distribution within complex plumbing systems.

Topic Area: Backflow Prevention & Pressure Reduction Methods

    a. Which type of backflow assembly to use for each application.
    b. How an RP (RPP/RPZ) works and why they are called “Reduced Pressure Principle” assemblies.
    c. When backflow prevention assembly flow curves matter.

  2. Pressure Reducing Valves & Valve Stations –
    a. How pressure reducing valves work.
    b. Designing, sizing, and setting pressure reducing valves.
    c. Reducing valve stations for use as parallel supply applications with low-flow bypass.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there!
